The team behind Oban Live, which includes band members of Skerryvore, will be touring Oban on Thursday, December 1, spreading the word of the first six acts that will be announced that day for 2017’s big event. They will also be celebrating the start of a 48 hour special Oban Times ticket offer that goes on sale at 11am that day ahead of the early bird tickets going on sale to the general public at 12pm, Saturday December 3.

The team will treat schools and local businesses with visits throughout the day, finally arriving at Oban’s Station Square for an official event launch. Locals are invited to head down at 5.30pm for the unveiling of Oban Live’s giant advent calendar. Behind 24 doors will be fantastic prizes including a pair of VIP tickets to Oban Live 2017, worth £99 each, event merchandise and donated prizes from local Oban businesses. Prizes will be awarded at random via a free raffle. Locals are advised to look out for members of the team handing out free raffle tickets to be in with a chance of winning. There might even be a wee tune or two from the Skerryvore boys as well.  The event will be weather permitting. Any changes to the launch venue will be posted on the event’s social media pages.

Special discounted tickets go on sale at 11am Thursday December 1, exclusively to Oban Times readers for 48 hours until 11am Saturday. Full details in The Oban Times December1.
