NO GLASS CAN BE BROUGHT INTO EVENT ARENA
FOOD & DRINK
Whilst we do allow food into the arena, we cannot allow any liquids. Whilst we have previously allowed shop sealed soft drinks, this was unfortunately abused and ultimately has put our license at risk therefore we can no longer allow soft drinks. We will allow babies bottles of milk. This will help us conform to our licensing conditions where we must ensure people don’t bring alcohol into the licensed arena.
PLEASE LOOK AFTER OBAN
There is no doubt that what makes Oban a special place is the stunning scenery and the people. Please look after Oban as if it where your own home. Events like these happen with the support of the local community, so please treat them with the respect they deserve and try to minimise the disruption to their everyday lives.
ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES, ALCOHOL & ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR
This event has a zero tolerance towards illegal substances, underage drinking and anti-social behavior. Anyone found with illegal substances, behaving in an anti-social manner or under the influence of alcohol under the age of 18 will be ejected from the festival site and reported to the police. This event encourages sensible drinking.
Animals are not allowed into the event arena, with the exception of guide dogs.
Strictly no Fireworks or fire lanterns are allowed anywhere on the Event Site. Those caught doing so will be removed from the site.
CHAIRS & BLANKETS
Please do not bring picnic blankets into the arena.
Under advice from the authorities and subsequently as a condition of our license in a change from 2016. There will be an allocated area for people bringing folding chairs to the event. Folding chairs will not be permitted outside of this area. Whilst the area will be first come first served, priority will be given to people who have health issues that mean that they cannot stand for long periods.
Wheelchair users are welcome in all public areas of the site, however if you are a wheelchair user and are more comfortable away from the hustle and bustle you are also welcome in this area.
The main arena is covered in a high-quality plastic covering which is great for sitting / sunbathing on, so if you don’t need a folding chair we recommend you leave it at home and get up dancing!
The main reason for this change from 2016 is concern around clear routes for evacuation and folding chairs around the whole arena potentially being a hazard should we have to evacuate.
Oban is a stunning location and we would like your help in keeping it that way. Please use the bins provided.
