Where boats raise their sails and dance with the breeze.

Where explorers discover great antiquities.

Where fishermen harvest the fruits of the seas.

Where, as a child, I ran happy and free.

Now I am old, but I reach for the sky, and I’ll walk with the girl

with the glint in her eye.

And we’ll sing along fondly, our hearts satisfied.

And in that mystic moment, our memories revived; we’ll say slàinte to Oban…

Long live Oban Live!

The Last Train to Oban is a beautiful short film about a grandfather who shares his affection for Oban and Oban Live music festival with his granddaughter Emma. Images of the event and the town’s scenery and culture are shown whilst the grandfather recites his poem “Lovely Oban.
